I'm a recent graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University. I received my bachelors majoring in English and a minor in History. I've always been drawn to the process of learning and spreading knowledge to others but more importantly, I love helping people with diverse learning styles and backgrounds figure out the best way for them to acquire and apply the things they learn. I structure lessons by first getting a feel for how the learners can best relate to the information being provided, then I try to find relevant examples and associations from the real world that the learner is consistently a part of.
Throughout high school, community college, and university, I've always been the "go-to" friend, co-worker, or classmate when it came to getting a better grasp on English material that seemed vague or difficult to relate to. On top of that, I've always been able to help with the structuring of word documents in various styles (MLA, Chicago, etc). I tutored in high school through tutoring programs, and throughout college and university I was always a student that made myself available for others to contact for help.
I received my Associate of Arts at Lone Star Community College in Tomball, Texas with a 3.5+ GPA while simultaneously working to fund that education. I went on to receive my Bachelors of Arts in English with a minor in History at Stephen F. Austin State University while maintaining that GPA.
