About the lesson
I believe that learning is like building a tall tower. In order for the tower to be stable, the foundations must be solid first. During the first class, I will be making sure that you understand the foundations and basics of whatever it is you would like to learn. If there are any holes in your understanding, we will start from there.
Afterwards, we will go into more advanced material, and I will help you to not only understand the material, but apply it into different questions that may appear.
I prefer to move through content at a very fast pace, as many students are looking for tutors to learn ahead of their classes or in preparation for exams. Thus, if you ever need me to slow down, just let me know, and I'd be more than happy to.
I also tend to create a plan of what sections of the material to finish by when. I will share these plans with you, and you can always let me know if you'd like any adjustments done.
I look forward to working with you! I love to teach and help students accomplish their goals. However, remember that tutors are not a magic solution to all. You must also put in the effort to improve!

Hey, nice to meet you!
I am a 3rd year health sciences student at McMaster University who tutors in his spare time. I grew up in the States, and have been tutoring since grade 6. I have extensive experience working with students and parents alike to ensure the best results!
I have been teaching a variety of subjects, including math (up to Calculus BC), Spanish, English (writing, reading comprehension, grammar), science (chemistry, physics, biology), and important US college admission tests (IELTS, SAT, ACT, SAT (math 1 and math 2) subject test).
If you are a high-school student looking to go to university in the states, I have written the SAT and ACT as well as the SAT math 2 subject test, and I will be able to give you valuable information about the tests, application process, how you should prepare, etc. in order to succeed!
Sam taught me math for 5 years, and he taught me a lot of tricks and tips to help me do well in class. I did well in a lot of math classes that I thought I would fail.
He is really patient, and even though I forgot a lot of stuff, he taught me again and helped me remember.
He is a good teacher who knows what he is doing, and even though he gives a lot of homework sometimes, he understands when you don't do your homework. He is also funny and teaches you funny ways to remember things that stick with you for quizzes and tests.
Sam is a good teacher that taught me math and english for a long time. He gave me a lot of help and helped me do well in a lot of my classes.
He is a funny teacher and I can talk to him easily about questions I have.
