Due to covid methods of teaching have changed. I have been virtual teaching on zoom and am prepared to do so. My methods include focusing on reading comprehension, focus on context, learning to skim and scan for information and learning to interpret and reference documents. Each learner is different and will benefit from different methods and skills in order to remember and understand.
I currently work as the Director of Literacy in a Winnipeg school. I have worked in the field of business and sales management in addition to working in training and development corporately to satisfy my love for teaching. I am qualified to teach any of the social sciences from Grades 7 though 12, and additionally specialize in literature and English. I have knowledge of French and would be happy to teach French through the regular school stream. My degrees include a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts. I have studied in France in addition to taking multiple business courses. My love of learning and education has never ended and would be happy to assist students in this challenging environment
In addition, as Director of literacy teaching English as a second language is what I am focusing on this year. I would be happy to continue that through tutoring.
I am looking to begin with individual lessons at $25.00 per hour 7 days per week. Group classes will be priced according to numbers involved. Discounts would apply.
