I firmly believe every person's learning style and strategies to understanding are unique and need to be addressed individually. I will happily work with you to discover a learning style, develop and implement a study plan, and to ensure we reach your personal, educational goals together.
I am a strong believer in setting small goals that build upon each other to create long-lasting comprehension. I enjoy implementing a spiral scaffold approach to learning, which includes setting short-term and long-term educational goals on realistic timelines. By starting small, we ensure that fundamental concepts are strong before we move on to more complex systems and understanding.
Hi, my name is Arielle, and I'm a recent M.Sc. Biology graduate! I have expertly curated my understanding of Biology under two overarching topics: (1) the human body and (2) environmental biology. From a simple understanding of core biological concepts to the detailed intricacies of physiological and biochemical processes, I am the tutor for you!
(1). Human Body:
I hold degrees in both Psychology (B.A.) and Biomedical Biology (B.Sc.). I have thoroughly studied the human body through many lenses, and have an expert understanding of: gross anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemical processes, and genetics. I have been a Lead Teaching Assistant in Anatomy and Physiology, and have a thorough understanding of concepts that are needed to ensure success in these areas of study.
(2). Environmental Biology
I hold a Masters degree in Biology (M.Sc.) with a strong focus in both biological and biochemical processes. My areas of study throughout my Masters were: environmental molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology. I have a broad skill set in understanding both the technical and theoretical processes of several (DNA/RNA extractions, enzyme assays, PCR, gel electrophoresis, LC/MS, genomic/transcriptomic/metabolomic analysis, and sequencing tools).
