About the lesson

I informally tutored many of my classmates/friends before deciding to pursue tutoring formally. In the social sciences I think that the most important thing I can do to teach people is break down concepts and contextualize them using strong examples. I don't think that the concepts we use are actually hard to understand, and I think that many people understand the concepts they are introduced to in their social sciences courses without knowing it. I want to let people know that they have a better grasp of their course material than they think they do.

With regard to writing, I think the most important thing is to teach a person to make their writing well-structured and understandable. It is also important that I teach a person to construct an argument well.

I am entering my final year of undergraduate study in Linguistics and Anthropology and am currently applying to graduate programs in Medical Anthropology. My strong reading and writing skills have allowed me to achieve a cGPA of 3.9. I have private interests in history and art history.
