I follow a teaching philosophy that puts the student's interests, agency, and curiosity front and center. Your ability to learn, internalize, and make useful the knowledge and experience you gain during our lessons is my priority. Get in touch today to find out how I can help you reach your education goals.
I offer individual teaching plans based on the needs of the student. If you are struggling to meet the expectations of a course or program in the liberal arts, I will teach you the skills you need to succeed.
Writing is a challenging but essential skill for higher learning. If you need help writing essays, developing a thesis, or establishing a strategy for reading and research, I will help you cultivate best practices and healthy habits for top-level scholarship.
For those interested in more specialized learning, I offer custom-made tutoring courses at a variety of levels, from high-school to graduate, that can help you get a firm grasp of philosophy, political economy, art history, mad studies, and more.
Learning outcomes include: How to interpret complex source material; critical thinking and logical argument structure; superior academic writing style; constructing outlines, research proposals, thesis statements, abstracts, and preparing work for publication; how to conduct research; editing and proofreading skills; constructing a compelling thesis, and meeting assignment deadlines.

As a graduate of a Combined Honours B.A. program in Humanities and Philosophy, I have a broad knowledge base in the liberal arts, with particular expertise in writing, editing, and research, to pass on to new academics and other people interested in the liberal arts. As an undergraduate student my work was recognized with three publications and numerous awards and distinctions. Upon graduation I was awarded the Senate Medal for outstanding academic achievement, and left my program as a straight-A student. I am excited to share my strategies for success and the knowledge I have gained with a new generation of students.
I also have previous experience as an artist and continue to work on the creative side when I can. After exploring graduate school I eventually decided to pursue independent scholarship in mad studies and critical approaches to education. As a scholar who experienced anxiety and depression during my studies, I understand from first hand experience and through academic research that the mass delivery of education does not work for everyone, and many students need support. Because of this past experience, I want to offer specialized individual support to students in need. With the right support, anyone can succeed. Whatever your needs, I am here to help.
