About the lesson
I have significant experience working with professional and amateur singers as well as students at the highest levels of training. Alongside my own private teaching studio, I teach singing and lecture on vocal technique at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
I teach contemporary commercial styles including pop and rock as well as musical theatre. I also have extensive experience teaching classical and operatic singing.
My aim is to demystify singing and to give my students practical vocal skills. Using science informed pedagogy as well as my own experience as a performer, I structure lessons to help students make tangible improvements to their singing. Singing lessons are tailored to enable students to develop a secure vocal technique and also to develop as communicators and musicians with the ability to make independent choices as artists.

About Michael
I have been teaching singing for the past 10 years. I currently teach singing and lecture on vocal technique at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts as well as in my own private singing studio. I am fortunate to work with professional performers, amateurs and students in a range of genres.
I trained at the Guildhall School where I gained my First Class Masters degree in Opera on the school's Opera Course and my First Class Bachelor of Music Degree (Hons) in Vocal Studies.
I also have a keen interest in singing rehabilitation and have observed in the voice clinic at Lewisham hospital regularly for several years.

Details
My fee is due via bank transfer 24 hours before the time of the consultation; however, further lessons are payable via debit or credit card at the beginning of each session. In regards to cancellation, unless I am given 48 hours' notice, or I choose not to do so because of exceptional circumstances the full fee is still incurred.
