Methodology
My tutoring methods are tailored to the needs of a student's subject area of concern. Before the tutoring session begins, an overview of the topics, concepts, and grading rubric would be identified. The duration and type of tutoring provided would then be based on this needs assessment.
For instance, if a high student needs tutoring for their provincial precalculus exam, then I would go through a lot of practice questions with them explaining each step of the process and how the concept is applied. I would also test their understanding of the concepts being covered by imitating an exam setting.
Conversely, I would provide feedback to an undergraduate, and/or create an outline detailing how their paper should be structured depending on the instructions and rubric.
Background
I am a third-year BComm student at the University of Manitoba. I transferred from the faculty of Arts after my first year. As such, I have taken and excelled in many diverse courses like Psychology, Sociology, English Literature, Microeconomics, Business Ethics, Human Resources, Management courses, etc.
I have also previously offered tutoring services in afterschool programs for over two years to middle and high school students in Winnipeg. I also provide editing services to students for their term papers among other written assignments.
