Marathon Training Plan

Training for a marathon is going to take time and practice. You’ll have to spend anywhere between 3-5 days a week running to ensure you're ready to run all of this 42km. Every time you miss a run before your marathon, it’s going to hinder your progress. It’s recommended that anyone new starting should start training between 4-6 months before their race. This leaves you with ample time to train and ultimately be prepared.

There is a ton of marathon training plans out there that can help you succeed. We’re not marathon coaches, so well, link to some good plans you use to train. However, we can still offer some great tips for your marathon training. Running equipment can go overlooked. A good pair of running shoes is only the beginning when you start training. Running shoes should be on your list of things you need to purchase. Those old running shoes you have aren't going to cut it. Always speak with a professional as well. Certain shoes are better for running, even running longer distances than shorter distances, so it's important to get the right shoe.
