Learning English can be fun- while still being a rewarding and challenging experience. My lessons are suited to learners of all ages and proficiencies, as I have 3 years of experience with kids, teens, and adults. My lessons are always individualized because every student is looking for something different.
I have access to many interactive, Cambridge textbooks specifically designed for online teaching, as well as online English games and graded films and readers. Depending on your learning goal, lessons can be highly structured and focused on exam preparation, or lessons can be loose and conversational. Whether you want to practice speaking or prepare for an IELTS exam, I'd be happy to help!
Learning a new language should be done in a supportive and relaxed environment with an experienced teacher who understands your needs. Please feel free to message me with any questions about class content or my teaching style!

Perfect! I hired Alisa to create an intensive ESL program for my 16 year old daughter who is a native Chinese speaker and has only been learning English for 2 years. Because of COVID and public high school limited course offerings we pulled her from quadmester 2. Alisa crafted a 3 hour a day program to fit her unique needs. Not only is she fun and sharp but her emotional quotient is off the charts. My daughter comes from a trauma background and she easily trusted and connected with Alisa from day 1. Her content/teaching is fresh, varied and interesting to Mia. Her communication with us has been superb and she's planning to write up a progress report once the tutoring is complete. I can most highly recommend Alisa for any of your ESL tutoring needs. On a scale of 1-10 she ranks an 11.
Mia is a bright and curious student, and her biggest strength is her speaking level and overall fluency. She is able to convey all ideas, complex or simple, despite not yet being a totally fluent speaker. She struggles with reading and writing as she's begun her English studies quite late, but over the 3 months we've worked together, she has improved greatly in these areas and I'm certain she'll soon master these skills. Mia has been an absolute delight to teach and work with- any teacher would be lucky to have her as a student.
I have worked with Alisa for many years, and have had the pleasure to witness her in action. She is able to build excellent rapport with students, can explain complex grammar and vocab in simple terms, and manages to do so within fun, friendly, conversational lessons. Her focus on fluency is cleverly woven into dynamic and interactive lesson plans. Having trained all age groups for Cambridge, IELTS tests, and Trinity GESE's was of course an added skillset that made working with Alisa an easy choice. Let’s not forget she is an accomplished and published writer. As a colleague, I cannot recommend her more highly as a teacher. It’s a privilege to work with Alisa.
We hired Alisa on to help my nieces with their school work and during the lockdown & summer months while out of school. Before this, I was attempting to tutor my nieces myself, but my grammar knowledge is limited and this became a problem. I found Alisa's profile and recommended her to my sister. My sister has told me that Alisa is really knowledgeable about English and grammar (native speakers often don't even realize how many rules we follow instinctively! Hard to help kids if you hardly recognize it yourself.) This is where Alisa has been a real help.
Alisa did such a wonderful job of keeping them engaged throughout remote learning experiences. Not only is she great with the kids, but she has been great at communication with my sister & brother-in law throughout; she provides progress reports and was able to speak to their overall well-being and development as well. Definitely recommend her services.
Alisa has been my English teacher for a while now, and always keeps it super interesting! I feel like I've learned a lot with her. She has taught me some of the trickier parts of English language in a fun, engaging way. Definitely worth it! Thanks Alisa :)
I never thought I could find a teacher like Alisa. I was bored sick of speaking about my hobbies and learning the English words you’ll never use in life... You can notice Alisa’s lessons are well planned and adapted to you. She’s always in a good mood and ready to help me :) I can only recommend her!
Alisa has worked for 2 different schools that I run. She has been a valued member of my team in a summer school that I run in the UK every year. Alisa joined us in 2 summers in a row and turned out to be one of the most reliable, independent and professional teachers.
Her language skills, intelligibility, great rapport with students of all ages and sparkling personaity clerly made her an asset to the school.
Alisa has also worked as an online teacher for my school in Poland. During that time she proved to be extremely flexible and versatile, often covering for other teachers - even last minute, when she had very little time for preparation.
In general, I hope to work with Alisa again and I'm sure she will be an asset to any school she joins.
Alissa is an excellent teacher. She has great classroom management and is able to build trust and rapport with students. She can explain complex grammar concepts using simple language, and most importantly, is fun and friendly to work with.
