Hi! My name is Marceline, and I’m a certified elementary school teacher with a background in Drama and Theatre Arts, specializing in confidence-building, communication skills, and academic support for children, teens, and adults.
I currently teach as a homeroom elementary teacher, which means I support students across core subjects including English, reading, writing, math, science, and study skills. As a generalist, I understand how learning connects across subjects — and how confidence plays a huge role in a student’s success.
Alongside my teaching experience, my training in drama and theatre allows me to support learners in a different way: helping them express themselves clearly, speak with confidence, manage anxiety, and feel comfortable being seen and heard. I use gentle, practical techniques drawn from drama, public speaking, and communication to help students overcome nerves, improve presentation skills, and participate more confidently in class.
I work especially well with:
Shy or anxious students
Children who struggle with speaking in front of others
Students who “know the answer” but have difficulty expressing it
Learners who benefit from encouragement, structure, and creative approaches
My tutoring style is supportive, calm, and encouraging. I believe learning should feel safe, empowering, and achievable not stressful. I meet students where they are and help them build both skills and self-belief.
