Having consistently exceeded expectations throughout my education, I have come to learn how to succeed in exams and coursework. Alongside this, I believe in chasing your passion, and I strongly encourage learning beyond the scope of what exams require. Often higher marks can be achieved by demonstrating a deeper understanding. Throughout my teaching plans, I help develop a full understanding of subjects as well as teach other methods to make exam success more obtainable that I have learnt throughout the years. During my teaching, I help identify:
-Optimal ways in which individual students learn through determining their learning type (i.e. visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic).
-Strengths and weaknesses and how to utilise them in exams.
-Areas of improvement in subjects.
Alongside this, I help my students to learn what their passions are and help them determine what career path they want to get into and how to take steps towards achieving this.

Peer Mentor for First Year Chemical Engineering Students - 2016 – 2017:
I was a point of contact for my mentees and organised regular meetings with them. I was also responsible for keeping them on track with their education, overcoming any academic problems they had and finding appropriate services for any personal problems they have.
Peer Mentor for Individuals with Learning Difficulties - 2012 - 2015:
I was responsible for keeping pupils focused and on track with their education and monitoring their progression through weekly meetings. The role required me to be patient, considerate and respectful to successfully help them with their difficulties. Additionally, I had to be adaptable to everyone’s specific needs.
University of Bologna - 12/02/2018 – 22/06/2018:
I assisted a research group called ‘Memlab’, within the University of Bologna, in a European project called ‘NanoMemc2’. Memlab is focused on the research of transport phenomena of fluids in polymers and selective membranes. I was involved in the ‘Membranes Preparation and Characterisation of Polyvinylamine (PVAm) and Nanocellulose’ activity within the project, which investigates CO2 selective facilitated transport. My main activities were to develop and test new materials for their performance and evaluate the results to current to identify if they were worth pursuing further development. Alongside this, I developed the following documentations:
• A literature survey titled ‘Facilitated Transport Membranes for Carbon Capture Applications’
• A technical report titled ‘Effect of Humidity and Nanocellulose Content on Amine Loaded Nanocellulose Composite Membranes for CO2 Capture’.
Clasado Research Services Ltd - 31/7/2017 – 22/9/2017:
Clasado BioSciences are developers and manufacturers of unique prebiotic technologies. Most notably the patent protected second generation galactooligosaccharide (GOS) Bimuno, suitable for use in a range of commercial applications including human food and dietary supplements. I joined the quality and technical team for a 3-month internship.
• I conducted literature searches into methodologies for the removal of by-products (i.e. glucose) from the product and processing techniques involved in the production of galacto-oligosaccharides and the techniques involved.
• I produced a list of required equipment based on the previous two literature reviews.
• Co-author of a report which determined the molecular composition one of the company’s new products.
