I try to identify where a student is struggling and determine the cause, i.e. are they missing an underlying principle. I will break everything down into incremented steps with explanation for each as required for the students needs. Additionally I will attempt to convey a real world use of the information if possible to convey the usefulness of the knowledge, or make suggestions of related subject matter if the students takes an interest.
I am Chemistry graduate with a focus on nanoscience and a minor in mathematics, as well as knowledge of digital electronics. I have experience with chemistry in the lab environment having done a research thesis involving optically up-converting nano-materials along with a number of university courses. Additionally I have taken multiple university courses on digital electronics having designed and submitted a PsRG microcircuit for fabrication. I have done some teaching/tutoring mostly classmates and some high-school level students who were coworkers at my workplace.
