My teaching methods for guitar are very visual. I think that the guitar is kind of a strange instrument to conceptualize, but relating it to other things visually can really help (for example: associating notes and chords with shapes or colours).
If the student is having trouble understanding something, I will try my best to explain it a different way to make them understand. Above everything, I am there to pass my knowledge onto you.
I am a guitarist, singer/song-writer, composer, sound engineer, and producer, but most importantly, a musician. I am currently studying at Vanier College in Montreal. I am in my 2nd year of the music program, learning jazz guitar.
I have been playing guitar for over 6 years now and teaching private lessons for about a year. I made this ad because I'm simply looking to take on new students! I believe that music is a gift, and I want to share that gift with others.

Dylan has exceptional patience along with the 'know-how' to teach what he knows best, music.
I fully endorse Dylan's capabilities.
Dylan and I have been friends since 2013, and I have had the distinct honour of performing songs with him on multiple occasions during our high school days. Our musical journey began with Variety Shows at school, which led us to perform at the 2016 Sir Wilfred Laurier Starfest Gala, and finally at an Open Mic Night at a local cafe.
Of all the years that I have known and worked with him, Dylan has only ever been a friendly, supportive, and genuine person. He possesses an incredible ability to learn songs on the fly and has an impressive capacity to play songs from a variety of genres and styles with ease.
What I remember the most about working with Dylan, is that anytime I began to feel doubtful, nervous, or self-conscious about my ability to sing a song, he was always willing to change or adjust the songs to fit my vocal range or comfort levels, or simply relieve my anxieties by reassuring me of my abilities.
As a teacher, I could not recommend this man enough. He has the patience, the attitude, and the skills to do so.
Having worked with Dylan teaching elementary school kids Ukulele, I am able to commend him on his patience and can attest to his skill playing both ukulele and guitar (He was definitely the better of the two of us). One on one, he’s able to fully devote himself to one’s learning and he does so with ease. I’m proud to be able to say I’ve worked with him as a team.
Dylan is not only a gifted guitarist himself but also a very capable, knowledgeable, and patient teacher. I couldn't recommend him more.
Dylan is an amazing person to work with. He’s an incredibly talented and knowledgable person. We’re in the same music program and he tutored me for many classes such as music theory & ear training. He’s a talented guitarist and composer. He’s super nice, fun and patient. The perfect teacher.
