About Tapiwa
I'm an aspiring Computer Scientist, and I enjoy tutoring high school students whenever I can. I've worked closely with roughly ten students over the past two years to create a solid foundational understanding of the national curriculum. It's been my pleasure and privilege to watch them finish their school years with a significant improvement in their grades. I've tutored students in Maths, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences, as students tend to find these subjects the most difficult, so I've made it my mission to help them realize that they're capable of so much more than they think!

Simplifying, repetition, and practice. These are the three pillars I try to base my lessons on. By simplifying the topic, I mean that the student and I work on breaking it down into it's simplest form, usually making notes and summaries to make sure he/she walks away with their own understanding of the work. I also make use of spaced-repetition software, that schedules daily 20-minute study sessions aimed at areas that the students struggle with the most, and lastly, the student and I look through and practice as many examples as we can, to create a solid understanding that can withstand any test!
