Computer Science student teaches programming for high school or first-year university students in Markham

About the lesson

I can teach various languages at a beginner or intermediate level such as: Java, C++, Python, and Racket (the language taught in first-year Computer Science courses at the University of Waterloo). I can either teach students how to program, or just help students with other programming assignments.
For students who wish to learn programming at an introductory level, I can make use of my own PowerPoint slides when teaching, especially in front of multiple students. By the first day of class, I try to learn about my students' background, interest in computer science, and skills through a diagnostic test to help me determine how I should teach and assign homework. If the student is more skilled in mathematics and/or programming, I would often give more challenging assignments to help the students think harder.
