My motto for writing and English in general is to always approach it with an open mind. There are always concepts that can be missed and seen the second time around when it comes to writing.
My approach for teaching, especially when it comes to English and writing, is for students to be creative but structured in a way that follows what they should be learning and aid in their understanding.
