About Natalie

I always conduct myself in a professional manner, I am approachable and friendly, and I create a welcoming atmosphere for my students so that they feel at ease with their Spanish. I never want them to be overwhelmed, embarrassed, or afraid to make mistakes or take a chance to begin with. I believe that my friendliness promotes trust within the relationship that I have with each of my students. They are willing to come to me with questions, comments, and concerns that they might have because they know that I respect them and do not show any favoritism or judge anyone based on their opinions, learning style, background, or anything else. I have a warm, welcoming smile, and I love to interact with my students as much as possible, both during our lessons and in between lessons. I devote a lot of time outside of actual lesson time prepping for my lessons so that I come fully prepared for each lesson. I have worked with all different ages, all different levels from pure beginner to advanced, and all different learning styles, so I have the necessary experience for whoever would choose to seek me out as their tutor. I would say that I go above and beyond to ensure that my students reach their Spanish-related goals, as well as goals in life. I spend the necessary time personalizing my lessons to each student, I send lesson recap information after each lesson so that the students can reference it on his or her own time as necessary, and I send at least some practice material after each lesson so that the student can stay in touch with the topic that we are currently studying, even when we are not in session. I also try to provide valuable, comprehensive feedback and support for my students.

About the lesson

I am very detail oriented, and I take my time explaining concepts to students. I am super passionate about education and extremely patient with my students! I send supplemental material to my students in between lessons so that they can keep up with the language even when we are not together.

My Spanish sessions are engaging and fun, filled with activities, games, dialogues, exercises, and discussions, and I share my screen whenever possible so that the student can see exactly what I see and follow along. I make each lesson as interactive as possible with it being online. I want my students to feel no different than if we were meeting in person each time.

I cater my Spanish lessons to different learning styles. I try to find the best online quizzes and exercises to complete alongside students, and I send screenshots with the correct answers, vocabulary lists with detailed personalized notes added in parenthesis, and the links to anything that read, listen to, or write together so that my students can go back and reference all of the material later on. I have several "go-to" websites that I love to use for teaching grammar and vocabulary, and I do my very best to provide a nice mix of the two so that my students do not feel as though they are always getting only one or the other. If we are studying strictly a grammar topic, I do my best to put it into context so that the grammar doesn't tedious or boring for the students.
