About STEF

My career is divided in EDUCATION and PERFORMANCE.

As a teacher, I have more than 14 years of experience. I have worked with people from 3 to 75 years old in a wide range of musical areas. I have been teaching as in schools as in conservatories.
From the academic year 2021-2022, I'm teaching singing at the University of Montreal (UdeM).

My classes can be individual or in group, and they can be taken at yours or at my studio, which is located in the vibrant area of Plateau-Mile End!

As a performer, since I was 17 years old I have participated in quite zarzuelas, operas, oratorios and musicals around Europe, including the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, and now in Canada ^^

Along all these years of experience, I have acquired powerful resources to help and understand people's needs. So, I feel very happy to help others to pursue their dreams and improve theirselves every day.

Hi to everybody! :)

My name is Stef, I am a lyrical singer from Barcelona who currently lives in Montréal (and I love it!).

I teach singing, piano and musical theory for ALL AGES and GENRES!

About SINGING, I am going to teach you how to use your voice in a healthy way.
In class, we'll learn about:

- Support (yes, we'll talk about the diaphragm!)
- Breathing
- Phonation
- Tuning
- Phrasing
- Declamation
- Projection
- Confidence
- Stage presence
- Communication through emotions
- Piano self-accompaniment (so you can give proper concerts to your beloved ones!)

About PIANO and MUSICAL THEORY lessons, they are based on a super piano book. With that and my technique you'll learn a lot! For kids, I have several books that are fantastic for them as well!

Also, I'm here to help you with your EXAMS and AUDITIONS :)

My philosophy is QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. To achieve that, it's important to establish a trust-based relationship between us. My lessons are taken in a comfortable and open-minded environment. I find this point essential to feel free and make music from the heart.

She also teaches great warm up and breathing exercises to prepare correctly for any serious singing session. As a complete beginner, I'm glad to have Stef as the person who introduced me to the world of singing. At first, when I practiced at home without her guidance & recorded myself, I couldn't tell whether the sound I was making was healthy singing or not. But after a few lessons, my ears & my diaphragm were trained to spot the subpar sounds & I could even correct myself.
