Doctor in Comparative Literature offering help in writing academic and literary texts in Montréal

Methodology

My teaching style tends to be very light-hearted, with a lot of passion and humour behind everything I teach. I alternate between teacher-focused presentation and student-focused discussion, as necessary for the particular subject. I am not a fan of multiple-choices or short answer tests. I prefer to let the student express their learnings in their own words through discussion, presentation and essays.

Background

I am a fully bilingual (French/English) scholar in literary and cultural studies. I have a BA in English Studies (Université de Sherbrooke), a MA in Comparative Canadian Literature (Université de Sherbrooke) and a PhD in Comparative Literature (University of Western Ontario). I am also a professional translator and proofreader. I have published academic texts in academic journal as well as an upcoming book chapter and I have professional tutoring and language teaching experience in a university setting.
