Methodology

My goal as a teacher is to teach my students the skills they need to develop into independent readers, writers and thinkers. Both my professional and educational background of experience has enabled me to teach an integrated curriculum which addresses language arts skills instruction within a content area.

Background

I have a B.A. degree in English and French, an M.S. degree in Education and twenty years of experience in teaching on all public school levels and also on the college level. I have taught both developmental and remedial or interventional language arts which include literal and critical comprehension; vocabulary; syntax and grammar; writing styles; and study skills; to name most of what I have taught.
