About Alice

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic language teacher with a deep passion for helping students discover the joy and power of communication through language learning. From an early age, I was fascinated by different cultures and how language connects people across the world, which led me to pursue a degree in Hispanic Studies and a teaching qualification. Teaching allows me to combine my love of languages with my commitment to supporting young people in reaching their full potential both academically and personally. I find great fulfillment in creating engaging, inclusive learning environments where students feel confident to express themselves, make mistakes, and grow. For me, teaching is not just a profession; it's a way to inspire curiosity, foster intercultural understanding, and empower students with lifelong skills.

About the lesson

I am an experienced and passionate language educator with a strong background in teaching Spanish and French to students across a range of age groups and abilities. I hold a PGCE qualification and a BA (Hons) in Hispanic Studies from the University of Sheffield, and have taught in both the UK and international settings. Currently, I serve as Head of Language Acquisition at Emirates International School, where I lead the MYP and DP Language Acquisition curriculum. My previous roles include Spanish and French teacher, Academic Enhancement Lead, and Head of House at Laurus Ryecroft in Manchester. These positions have allowed me to drive academic success, deliver engaging lessons, and support holistic student development through academic interventions, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular programs. My teaching approach is student-centered, aiming to build language confidence through immersive, speak-first methodologies. I have a strong track record of helping students achieve outstanding results at GCSE and A-Level, and I'm committed to adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs.
