I always intend to make my courses as much interactive as possible. I think that ESL courses are interesting opportunities for students to develop diverse competences. Therefore, I try as much as possible to alternate between speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities in a way that decreases monotony, repetition and a boring learning atmosphere. I strongly believe that the teacher plays a fundamental role in fostering the student's motivation. Hence, in my planning I consider the different learning styles I have to accomodate every learner. For me, a successful ESL course has the teacher as a guide, a facilitator and a mentor rather than a dictator or a lecturer.
I have been teaching ESL in CSSMI for three years now, but also taught in different sectors in the past. I did tutoring, online courses, elementary group and individual summer courses, and adult courses in a language school.
I have a B.A as well as an M.A in English studies. Currently, I am doing a Master's in teaching English as a Second Language.
