My teaching is tailored specifically to the student, to make sure that we are working on whatever needs the most improvement, in the way that the student will best understand. I want to make sure that each student has a strong understanding of the basics, and that they have a solid technique. I also place a high value on learning music theory, and making sure that each student fully understands the music they are playing.
However, if a student just wants to jam or learn how to play a song, I am more than willing to go through that as well. I have a lot of experience playing classical rock, pop, punk, and jazz music, so if any student wanted to learn how to freestyle or play along to a drum chart, I would be able to help them.
When I teach, I want the student to enjoy what they're doing. I aim to make my lessons enjoyable, but also informative.
Drumming has had such a large impact on my life, and I want to pass this love and passion onto anyone who's willing to learn.
I have been drumming for 14 years, and I specialize in both snare drumming and kit drumming. I am currently involved in the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band Organization, and have been taught by some of the best drummers in the world.
My ability to travel is transit dependent, I don't have a vehicle so I would only be able to travel to houses near a SkyTrain or bus route. My travel cost is a flat $5 rate to cover any charges.
