I am a highly professional & experienced fashion design teacher at the La Salle College in Montreal. Having taught courses in sewing, pattern making and garment production —I am truly passionate about what I teach and I am always happy to pass on my knowledge to others. I learnt to sew from the age of 7, and since then, I have had over 30+ years in the production industry working for independent designers, my clients and international companies such as Cirque du Soleil.
I am open to teach anyone who is willing to learn from beginners level to more advanced levels. I am very well versed with teaching students that bring their own sketches and designs as well as, students that wish to learn everything from scratch without any specific designs.
My teaching style is flexible, fully dependent on the students needs. I am able to give lessons from my fully equipped Montreal studio minutes away from the metro or I can teach from a distance provided that students have their own equipment at home. By working from my studio, I will be able to provide you with all the equipment and materials such as paper, muslim and tools. Students who choose to work from the comfort of their homes will be provided with a list of materials/ equipment necessary to follow through with the classes.
Sewing & Pattern making come hand in hand, therefore I teach both simultaneously. After taking my classes, you should be comfortable with making and sewing your own patterns on your own.
Feel free to send me a message of your goals and expectations of this course and I would be happy to assist you to see how we can get there together.
