About MARTA
I am originally from Spain where I earned my degree in English Studies with a minor in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Oviedo. I spent the second-to-last year of my degree at the University of Bonn, Germany, where I discovered my passion for teaching. After that, I went back to Spain and earned my first M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I also completed a Master’s Degree in Teaching English in Secondary Schools. Then I moved to the United States of America where I worked as a Spanish language and culture assistant at an elementary school in Utah.
Last year, I moved to Glasgow (Scotland) where I am currently teaching Spanish at the University of Glasgow. Some of my main duties include delivering a range of teaching, supervision and assessment activities across undergraduate programs as well as making effective use of learning technologies to support and enhance course delivery, organization, feedback and assessment, among others.
