About the lesson

I approach a new student by finding out where he or she is on the learning spectrum. How does he or she learn best? What are his or her strengths and interests? Next, I will find out how the student is doing in the subject being tutored, and progress from that point. My goal is always to help the student progress in both skills and understanding.

I am an experienced BC teacher, with 27 years in public education. I have taught at all levels and most subjects. I specialize in English language and literature, but I'm also confident teaching Math and Music. I enjoy working with students individually and have considerable success in doing so over the past year.

I ask students to pay extra if I have to travel more than 20 minutes from my home. In such a case, my rate would be $40/hour.
