About Ruby

My interest in French started from fascination with international communication, literature, and cultural exchange during my studies. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages before earning a PhD in French Language Education. Over the last 12 years, I have helped students improve language confidence through practical teaching and interactive learning methods.

I believe language learning should feel adaptable and encouraging for every learner. Some students improve through conversation and listening activities, while others prefer grammar explanation and writing exercises. My teaching style focuses on patience, flexibility, and encouragement so students can improve steadily while building confidence in French.

Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring francophone literature, translation work, and cultural history from French-speaking countries. Staying connected to the language helps me introduce authentic and engaging materials into lessons. Teaching French is rewarding because I enjoy helping students communicate naturally and connect with new cultures confidently.

About the lesson

My French lessons help students build communication confidence through interactive learning and practical language activities. I teach grammar, pronunciation, listening comprehension, sentence building, vocabulary development, and conversational French using simple methods that make learning approachable and enjoyable. Lessons focus on improving fluency, understanding, and confidence while creating a supportive language-learning environment.

Beginners improve through pronunciation practice, guided conversations, and repetition exercises that gradually strengthen language foundations. Intermediate learners develop stronger grammar accuracy, listening ability, and conversational confidence through roleplay activities and structured exercises. Advanced students focus on fluent expression, cultural understanding, and advanced communication with deeper language development. I also include listening activities and real-world scenarios that help students improve naturally.

French becomes easier when students use the language actively instead of memorizing isolated grammar rules without context. My lessons encourage curiosity, confidence, and steady communication practice while helping learners improve consistently. I want students to become more expressive, comfortable, and confident while speaking French in practical situations.
