About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered on making learning clear, engaging, and confidence-building for every student. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations so students truly understand the material—not just memorize it. I use a mix of guided practice, real-life examples, and interactive questioning to keep students involved and thinking critically.

For math (3rd–8th grade), I emphasize building a strong foundation in core skills while helping students develop problem-solving strategies. For ELA and Spanish (all ages), I focus on reading comprehension, writing clarity, vocabulary development, and conversational skills, depending on the student’s needs.

A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in or review of previous material, followed by direct instruction on a specific skill or concept. Then, we move into guided practice where I work alongside the student, and finally independent practice to reinforce learning. I always end with feedback and tips for improvement so students leave feeling confident and prepared.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students at their level and adapt my teaching style to fit how they learn best. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades but to help students become independent, confident learners who enjoy the process of learning.
