My ideology is that you are sound in a particular topic only if you are able to make non-expert understand the concept in layman terms.
My teaching methodology includes covering every topic step by step till the student understands it, followed by feedback questions to check if the student has actually understood the topic. I also take tests at regular intervals because I believe that practicing will help students score well.
