My concepts of teaching philosophy have been acquired from both my own professional training
and teaching experience, and also from those that have influenced me. In my opinion, the first
goal in teaching chemistry is to have a solid curriculum to provide students with the framework
of knowledge. An understanding of chemistry concepts should be emphasized to hone student’s
ability to solve various problem in the subject. For this, a teacher needs to encourage students in
developing their own problem-solving abilities and styles by showing them that there may be
more than one way to approach a problem. In the end, it is all about them students and
encouraging them to enjoy the process. All said, I am not afraid to try new teaching techniques,
and figure out new ways to improve their learning experience.
