About Andrew

Hi! I’m a passionate guitar tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Guitar. Music has always been at the center of my life, and I love composing and arranging pieces for both solo guitar and ensembles. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented, tailored to each student’s needs. I work with school students, hobbyists, and professional musicians alike, helping them grow their skills and confidence on the instrument. My lessons cover scales, modes, songwriting, rhythm training, and stage performance, ensuring a well-rounded musical education. I focus on helping students understand theory while making practice enjoyable and practical. Over the years, I’ve guided students from Intermediate to Advanced levels and assisted those preparing for professional work. I believe every student can discover their unique voice on the guitar with the right guidance. I adapt my lessons to each learner’s pace, interests, and goals. Together, we explore technique, creativity, and expression in music. My aim is not just to teach notes and chords, but to inspire a lifelong connection with music. About the lesson

My teaching approach is designed to help every student grow as a confident and creative guitarist. I focus on both technical skills and musical expression, making learning enjoyable and practical. Lessons cover Classical, Jazz, Electric, Bass, and Acoustic guitar techniques, as well as advanced topics like sound design, looping techniques, ambient textures, and experimental guitar methods.

I guide students to understand music deeply, helping them develop their unique style and musical voice. Through structured practice and personalized exercises, I support learners in improving their timing, improvisation, and composition skills. I also use real-world examples and recordings to make complex concepts easy to understand.

I work closely with students who aim to explore jazz improvisation or develop advanced experimental techniques, helping them reach their full potential. Flexibility is key in my sessions, adapting lessons to each student’s pace and interests. I encourage creativity, curiosity, and a strong connection with the instrument.

By the end of our sessions, students not only play guitar skillfully but also understand how to create and manipulate sounds, build musical textures, and confidently perform their own pieces. My goal is to make learning guitar a rewarding journey for everyone.
