About Elena
My interest in guitar began from a deep appreciation for live music, songwriting, and expressive instrumental performance during my early years. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Contemporary Guitar Studies. Over the last 13 years, I have guided students through musical growth using supportive teaching methods and practical learning approaches.
I believe every learner deserves lessons that fit their pace, goals, and musical interests. Some students improve through repetition and technical exercises, while others respond better to improvisation and creative exploration. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and musical freedom so students can improve comfortably while building strong guitar skills.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing music, performing with local musicians, and exploring different guitar styles and techniques. Staying active in music helps me introduce inspiring and practical ideas into lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students discover confidence and creativity through music.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop strong playing skills through structured learning and creative musical exploration. I teach chords, rhythm patterns, fingerstyle techniques, scales, improvisation, music theory, and performance skills using practical exercises that make learning enjoyable and approachable. Lessons are designed to improve coordination, creativity, and confidence while creating a supportive musical environment.
Beginners improve through chord transitions, rhythm exercises, and simple songs that gradually strengthen foundational guitar skills. Intermediate learners develop stronger finger control, strumming accuracy, and improvisation ability through guided repertoire and technical practice. Advanced students focus on solo performance, musical phrasing, and advanced playing techniques with deeper artistic understanding. I also include ear training and collaborative playing activities that help students improve naturally.
Guitar becomes more rewarding when students understand musical expression instead of simply memorizing patterns mechanically. My lessons encourage creativity, patience, and independent musical growth while helping learners improve steadily. I want students to become more expressive, skilled, and confident while enjoying the process of making music.
