About Hazel

Hi there! I am a current MScT History student, studying at the University of Edinburgh. In 2018 I graduated with a first class MA (hons) History and Classics degree from the same University, and I am passionate about teaching! I have experience as a volunteer History classroom assistant, and have worked in historical tourism for the past two years. I am happy to tutor covering a range of topics across History, Ancient History and Classical Civilisations, as well as helping students develop fun and sustainable study techniques. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, and do my best to make it so while preparing students fully for upcoming exams and assessments. I am experienced in a range of historical subjects, but have particular expertise in: The French Revolution; Medieval and Early Modern Europe; History of Gender; Classical Literature I am very flexible with teaching times and dates, as well as online tutoring, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions! Perfect! Wonderful tutor
Hazel is a good tutor! She is kind and flexible. Tailored her approach to our needs. My son was interested in slavery and he spent more than 2 months studying this topic from different angles using films, documentaries, different articles and lessons online. Hazel guided him and challenged with unexpected questions started with “What if...” My son and I are very pleased with the outcome and looking forward for next project!
