Honors History Major and Anthropology Minor able to teach history, anthropology and social studies

Methodology

The best words of advice I ever got from a professor was that good writing was rewriting, history and anthropology are both heavily writing dependent and I believe I have the skills to help people with them. As a person with Dyslexia I also understand the struggles of an average student and know the work arounds to cope with learning disabilities. I believe I am able to teach history in a more useful way than simply fact based memorization and would teach by developing a deeper understanding of topics through the use of multiple sources and the analysis of them. Additionally I am passionate about history and anthropology and I think I am very able of passing on my enthusiasm to others by making the topics more interesting. My extensive time in customer service has also given be great patience and well developed interpersonal skills.

Background

I am in my second year of an honors degree in history currently studying at MacEwan University but transferring to the University of Alberta in the fall semester. My minor is in Anthropology though I can also teach political science. I have a 3.5 overall GPA and a 3.9 in history and anthropology. I graduated with a partial IB diploma as well so I can teach high school English and Social Studies 10-30 as well at IB.
