Whenever I started a new class as a student, I always reminded myself that the knowledge to succeed has already been provided, but it was up to me to find and understand it. As a result, higher confidence lead to improved results - this is the basis of my methodology. Coupled with patience, meditation, proper exercise, food, and sleep, you can never win with you begin the race with a losing mentality, so remind yourself to keep trying - that is lesson one.
Moreover, it is very important to take and retake notes of the material being taught. Repetition helps fundamental learning, but most importantly you must put it in your own words. Take the time to reflect, attempt exercises, and read further about the subject in the practical world - knowing how the topic relates to the world around us solidifies understanding.
An ideal class would include a structured outline with topics to be learnt, as well as the overall objectives as achieve milestones of the subject. Most importantly, it is up to the educator to define what is expected to be understood by the end of the course. Finally, having a plan is great, but the education of each student varies, so flexibility and variation of material taught is developed further in real-time.
My classes will be accessible from early primary school to first year university mathematics.
My main qualification is a BSc. with honours in Mathematics for Education with a minor in Physics focused in classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and satellite communications from York University in Toronto, Ontario. Finances were never in excess, so I trained myself to work as a consumer package graphic designer and dealt with many vendors and companies to push their products to the marketplace. That being said, time was limited and learning higher mathematics had to be effective. As a result, I trained my brain to demystify and translate material into simpler forms. I have helped many fellow students with this and I can help you.
If students' level is first year university further material preparation is required. As such, my rate is $40/hr.
