About Blanca

Hello! I am a native Spanish girl from Madrid, completely fluent in both Spanish and French. I have studied all my life in a French School, Union Chretienne de Saint Chaumond. Since a young age I have been exposed to learn many languages, whilst being in a French school, I had Italian and English classes, as well as my native language, speaking Spanish outside of school. I did my French Baccalaureate (Bac) and, in the meantime, studied and achieved a diploma DALF C1 in French and diploma PLIDA A2 in Italian.

Moreover, I had the chance of living in a small town in France near Paris, Poitiers, for a period of a whole semester a few years ago, this allowed me to reinforce my French by talking to native people, exposed to a variety of different and complicated accents.
I am a student at the University of Nottingham studying Product Design and Manufacture (Beng). I also have lived for 3 years in the city of Oxford studying for my GCSEs, for which I have improved and perfectioned my English and will allow me to teach my students with more precision.

During the past two years, I have had the chance of tutoring French and Brevet (French qualification equivalent to GCSE) subjects such as Maths, Physics, Biology, and French Literature. I have worked with students between the ages of 4 to 16 and I am perfectly qualified to teach students in KS2, KS3, GCSE, A levels, and University in Spanish and French. I strongly believe in working to get the greatest potential of each student no matter the age or learning capacity of this one. My sessions will have a strong base of dialogue aside from subject and topic areas including exercises or whatever works better for each individual student.

I am a very enthusiastic teacher willing to get to know each student for me to be able to adapt to their necessities and teach them to love the language they are learning!

Accents: Native Spanish, Castilian accent (Madrid); French Parisian accent.

About the lesson

My sessions would be based on the students’ needs and preferences, adjusting to each student, always trying to find the perfect way in which they would learn most efficiently and from there I will design the classes accordingly.

My tutorials will cover different teaching styles, just as how each student has their own different learning ways. The main objectives of the tutorials could vary from written and oral comprehension, ensuring that the student is able to understand and expand their vocabulary as well as strengthening grammar knowledge; as well as discussion, encouraging conversation by improving their Spanish vocalization and expanding their oral expression limits, I will insist quite a lot in this as it is not every day that you get a native Spanish tutor to learn from! Moreover, I could help with exams-focused topics (GCSEs, A levels, University, etc.) using my sessions to guide the student through past exam papers or revising specific topics.

I am a very enthusiastic teacher and look forward to transmitting that same enthusiasm to my students, I will help them grow confident and guide them through with what they are struggling with. Spanish is a beautiful language and anyone who gets the chance to learn it is a lucky one!
