I use a variety of teaching methods in my private violin and viola lessons depending on the age of the student and his/her music preferences. For younger students I use the Suzuki method as a base, supplemented by current repertoire. For older students I use the RCM materials for technique development and classical, popular and fiddling repertoire. I enjoy conducting choirs, especially adults, and focus on both sacred and secular music. I like to do sectional rehearsals as well as full ensemble practice.
I'm a violinist, bass/baritone singer and choir conductor with over 30 years of experience conducting and playing and singing in orchestras and choirs....I have 3 music degrees and an Alberta Permanent Professional Teaching certificate...Dr. Carle Duguid, (concealed information) or (concealed information)
