As a student, I learned through interaction, applications, and examples. I use these approaches in my teaching. I realize each student requires a culture and pedagogy of her/his own. I believe adopting discussions according to the particular audience and culture of each class/student increases the students’ comfort. As students feel comfortable in a class, they are more likely to contribute to discussions and offer personal opinions. Personal narrative and story telling are wonderful agents for cooperative learning.
