I have taught General Chemistry since 2013 at Virginia Tech. It has been a joyful experience to meet young and energetic students. I love to talk to students to understand their goal and problem and help them to have a vision for their future. For tutoring Chemistry, I usually guide student step by step, from basic definitions to advanced topics.
I have a conversational approach to tutoring and try to look at individual problems from the students' point of view. I encourage students to engage with me in lessons. I also integrate plenty of explanations, hints and mnemonics while teaching. Session are typically 2 hours.
My lessons tend to be closely based on physics experiments or simulations, and by utilizing videos I allow you to review each lesson at your own pace, and thus give you time to think about useful questions to ask in order to improve content comprehension.
