Often a student is struggling in math because they are trying to play catch up with concepts they haven't fully understood yet. I take the time to understand what a student knows, and fill in any holes of understanding to build a strong mathematical foundation.
I base my classes on classroom material already covered, student's notes and textbooks. I am happy to work through exams! I like to go over past assignments and exams to make sure material is well-understood by the student, and do lots of practice questions.
I believe that different individuals learn efficiently in different ways. Some individuals may require more tactile/ do-it-themselves type of learning with a guiding hand while some may require more of an example approach showing how to go through certain problems step-by-step. My methodology will vary with the individual depending on what type of learner the student is.
I can help your student practice mathematics or memorize biological concepts. I work best with kids who are struggling with their homework or who need a bit more one on one time with an instructor. I work best with students high school aged or younger but can also assist those looking to upgrade or finish a GED math course.
My teaching method is "learning by doing" and "problem solving approach" thus providing knowledge at understanding level to all the students. I want all the students to understand all the concept and become perfect in them by regular practice and hard work.
The way that I like to teach math and related subjects, which I find to be effective for these particular subjects, is to drive a clear understanding of the problem or topic at hand and reinforce this understanding with more practice.
First I introduce you to the concept, make sure you get the gist of it, and we slowly progress from thereon until you fully understand it. I have extensive knowledge of all the high school math/science courses and can provide tips and tricks for how to do well on certain tricky questions which I have encountered in my experience.
My teachingstyle is leaning and solving problem at same time. I am an experienced teacher in calculus and static for first year university student. Also I have books and sample from past tutoring. I'm very patient and enjoy teaching.
My teaching methods include: going over notes by myself then with the student as a team, working through previous problems done by the student, re-teaching the lesson or unit to the student, and after I ask if they get it complete and if so, to reteach it to me. I base my methods of off the notes that are given/written by the student or their teacher.
I like to link the real world with engineering problems. I believe students learn more when they know how that information can be used in the real life. Also presenting the same idea in different formats, help students choose the method that better work for them.
My teaching methods are tailored to student needs, I believe it is crucial to to understand why a student may be facing difficulty. Hence, I prefer approaching the student accordingly.
My techniques and teaching methods are based on strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. I have the ability to break down theories and axioms into smaller entities which are easier for the student to interpret resulting in the student developing the essential analytical and problem solving skills to be a successful math student.
I focus on interactive and adaptive learning techniques that are currently being researched within our Physics department at UNC. I am very vocal and engaging, meanwhile being kind and understanding. I have experience teaching in multiple countries, with children, teenagers, undergraduates and young professionals of all ages and backgrounds both in English and Spanish.
I am currently a Co-op student beginning to explore the world of tutoring and the opportunities it provides me. Elementary to High school grade Maths would be an Ideal area for me. Teaching methods when it comes to Math has to be taught with certain basis behind the solution and a thought process needs to be shown before getting a solution.
I teach concepts and techniques in an easy to understand manner. I have two younger brothers whom I've helped many, many times in the past. In fact I'm currently tutoring my youngest brother Adam through Grade 9 math. I have also tutored friends and peers over the years whenever they've needed help, at a highschool and first year college level. I can prepare students for tests and quizzes.
I believe in the educational philosophy of creating trusting and caring relationships. I have always known that people (especially children) are more likely to listen to you, if they care about you. When the classroom has a kind, fun atmosphere, the students are more likely to get involved and initiate their own learning.
I base my teaching methods on engaging direction to encourage the students to interact and troubleshoot the answers. Placing real life scenes as examples allows students to find methods of relating to the subject and allowing room for growth in knowledge. Being flexible keeps the problems interesting.
I can help you study and understand how to solve the problems in your homework, as well as prepare for your exams. I can also give you extra work to do if the material provided by your school is not sufficient. Je peux vous aider avec vos devoirs et vous préparer pour les examens. Je peux également vous fournir du matériel en extra si celui de votre école n'est pas suffisant.
try to explain the concept and methodology of the topic make the class interactive by cross questioning, brain storming and take inputs at every stage try to explain the subject by giving very simple and practical examples always taking the feed back so that I can alter my teaching strategies
Teach students based on their choice of topics (that they feel needs strengthening) using examples and practical applications to increase the relevance. I can also provide generic courses based on their school or test curriculum, if the students require those.
My teaching methods are simple. I explain all the details of a topic to a student. Then I answer all his questions if there are some. Then we solve problems from his textbook or the teachers notes with my detail explanation. Then we consider problems, created by me. When I explain anything, I always support my explanations by writing and figures.
I like to work with every student to maximize on teaching methods they enjoy - whether that is talking about the different ways we can apply the concepts to our everyday life, or understanding the history behind how equations are derived.
I make my topic as easier as possible and learn to teach students with fun. I am always conscious about their exam. I take significant number of class test and extra classes if it is necessary. I am friendly to students.
My internship teaching chemistry was a rewarding experience that involved adopting various teaching practices and delivering independent lessons to grade 9, 11, and 12 students. I was able to incorporate a variety of teaching and learning strategies in my lessons to ensure students’ engagement and understanding of the scientific concepts.
I approach the subject depending on the needs of the students. With Math, I usually use real-life scenarios for the student to better understand the logic behind every problem and to change their view that Math is not really a problem.
My teaching method includes pen & paper as I teach maths. But I like to break down the topics in a simple way so that anyone can understand it. My typical class includes an explanation of the topic using daily life examples and then problem-solving to understand the topic. I usually connect different topics with day to day life examples so students can understand it in an easy way.
I prefer hands on interactive teaching where my students are in the driving seat and I guide them from the sidelines. All I do is to give them the different approaches and let them experiment on each. I prefer to teach grade students.
My teaching methodology is based on the following proverb: Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to caught fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. I use a variety of examples, questions, real life scenarios and visual aids to help the student better identify how to approach the answer.
My classroom methodology depends on creating a balance between challenging and easy content. The atmosphere is more friendly in nature which comforts students and they are less hesitant to ask questions. As a teacher, I can proudly say that I have learnt a lot from my students till date.
Initially, I base my lectures on quick review of the concepts and then I move on to some example questions to check some deficiencies in understanding. Once the concepts have been established I solve with students some assignment questions to give them confidence to work on questions on their own.

Perfect! Yes that was Brilliant, i loved her teaching method i will always recommend her as a best tutor
Perfect! My daughter hit a few sections In physics that were not clear and causing issues and Travis was a great help get her back on track. He was punctual, thorough and was able to clearly explain things even with an online session. Would use again.
Perfect! Super smart teacher. He can get answers for calculus questions in a second. He has his PhD degree in math and has taught for many years. Very experienced.
Perfect! This tutor is not reliable. We booked two tutoring lessons with her and she was a no show for both lessons without informing us that she was unable to attend.
Perfect! Denise was excellent teacher to my daughter and I would recommend her to any one, and I will definitely use her in the future. Thanks again Denise.
Perfect! Alireza is an amazing tutor who has been able to accommodate my needs for the ACT, SAT Subject Math Level 2 and AP Calculus. Lessons are very good as I am often able to understand the concepts more easily compared to in the classroom. Thanks to...
