Since Math that that kind of subject that requires a lot of calculations and theoretical knowledge of the formulas and Theorems. so I prefer one to one in person classes for Math, where you get a better understanding of what we do. Using graphs, examples etc.
As a Psychology student, I know that everyone learns differently and I try to see what works best for the student. I would usually start my lessons with the basic elements and understanding to go on and build on those basics. According to me, practice is the key to doing well.
I believe that learning is best supported by practice. I like to work through calculation-based problems with my students, walking through examples then allowing the student to gain practice and expertise by slowly ramping up the difficulty of questions.
My methodology is to first demystify Mathematics, making my students fall in love with the subject. I assure my students that no question is stupid. I use things they can relate with to explain principles to my students. The excellent communication and interpersonal skills I have developed in my work years have helped me in bonding with people and transferring the knowledge intended.
Find out students difficulties first, talk to them in order to obtain a better approch and lead them to reach their own way to understanding the results. Encourage students to develop logical reasoning within their own reality and knowledge. It is the construction of knowledge that will make them capable and independent.
My teaching methods are work experience sharing and optimum inspiration. I mostly tutor Geomatics Engineering Technology and GIS with the relative academic background. I can make friends with students/ tutees and would love to help others patiently. I am happy to share work experiences, tools and other goodies with tutees.
I develop methods, or ways to teaching, that will benefit students and make them successful. Methods for quality math instruction include using visuals, making connections, using formative assessments, and teaching strategic thinking. I develop their problem solving skills and develop their creative thinking processes and skills.
I base my classes on questions that the student has on a particular concept of question. In math problems I like to break steps down that are common to all problems, walk the students through some then let them try some on their own.
Being a student who once struggled with math, i fully understand how to help students who have common and/ or unique struggles as i myself have overcome them. I will be able to assist you from scratch and help you develop a foundation in mathematics up to an advanced level.
My method of teaching would be the discussion method which I believe allows the student to point out areas I should focus on and it gives me a chance to gauge the student’s progress without having to test them
As a physics teacher, the challenge I face is inspiring students to think about the natural world around them and the physical laws behind the phenomena they observe in their everyday lives. Thus, by engaging students in class discussions they become part of the learning experience, not just as bystanders, but as contributors.
My teaching methods are: logical learning without memorizing equations or complex concepts and modifying thought structures through mental maps.
The reason I have always loved maths is that I love to think logically, in a way that I always convert mathematical theories into logical explanations in my mind. Therefore, my teaching methods are in the shape of a pyramid, from touching on the basics to seeing the bigger picture all in a logical way.
My teaching methods are always based on giving examples and hands-on activities if possible so the ideas are easily understood, which will make the problems and the theories much easier. Normally the classes are for primary and secondary students, but some curriculums are designed for university students.
My methods vary according to each student's needs. Depending on the students' understanding of various concepts, I decide how to structure the tutorials in order to overcome weak points. A typical class would consist more of practicing questions to be able to tackle all types and less of words and theory or material that would not typically appear on tests.
I am going to make you love math. I'm not going to leave you alone until you success in your class. Let's go over your homework, assignment, and exam. Ask me anything, Shall I answer to any of your question. I have never had any of my students graduate with under 80% of their grades in Math. Let me help you.
There is no specific methodology. However, it is random based on the student needs. So far, any student who learn from me had succeed in Maths. Best example are my kids, one of them is at UofT, Georges Campus and studying Engineering. Other is in grade 10 and having 4+.
My principal value with regard to teaching is best expressed by asking the question "Why?". "Why are you interested in learning this subject?" I often check in with the student(s) with questions like these to gauge how they feel about what they are learning and what they want to learn.
My teaching methods are to observe and listen. An instructor needs to know where the student is having issues and where their strengths are before helping them. There are many methods to do math, some are much easier than others but not everyone learns in the same way.
I will focus on those areas which are complex to understand for students. First I will start with the concepts then will go to the problem-solving approach. Some random tests would be there to ensure that students are following the right path provided.
My teaching methods are based on student centered methods comprising of Inquiry based learning, Personalized learning using high tech & low tech techniques. I base my classes using interactive & participative approach involving discussion method. I usually prepare lecture on single theme, with basic understanding of technical terms. Familiar examples and analogies are given on theme.
I believe that math is a subject that can be mastered by anyone! I have always used my own special tricks to help me achieve outstanding grades and to strengthen my understanding! I like to change up my teaching style to meet the needs of my students.
I base my classes on a great conversation, trying to show my students a new view of everything. I am very patient and I used to relate Chemistry with our everyday life. And also, I use different methodology according to the student's concerns.
I believe in targeting the concepts and ample practice makes one confident with the basic idea and application of any topic. I prefer adding real life examples in my classes so as to make learning fun and not boring.
I approach a subject with more practical examples so that students can easily understand it. I try to figure out where the students lack to understand. I make the environment stress free. My classes are meant for high school level.
We can find a good methodology for you and I will try to do my best to make you comfortable. Basically, I am just going to try to be very clear in my explanations and you will participate with some exercises to make sure you are learning.
I will do systematic teaching, but it can be flexible depends on students' need. I will also assist students to do their homework and decide their data analyzing technique for their research paper. Plus, every student can tell me everything about their difficulties in learning Math and Statistics.
My teaching method is to firstly what the student wants to learn from me, introduce the topic to them, familiarize them with the concepts involved, and dive in to explain in detail. It is very important for me to ensure that the student is able to grasp the information provided to them and can concentrate to the lesson, hence I give a great attention to keep my lessons as interactive as possible.
I kick off with the basics and what the student has learned so far and then plan accordingly. I teach one topic at a time that helps students to build up and excel at each topic. My classes are meant for students from Grade 5 to Engineering.
Learning theoretical concepts in the most understandable way and applying them to relevant examples is key.

Perfect! Yes that was Brilliant, i loved her teaching method i will always recommend her as a best tutor
Perfect! My daughter hit a few sections In physics that were not clear and causing issues and Travis was a great help get her back on track. He was punctual, thorough and was able to clearly explain things even with an online session. Would use again.
Perfect! Super smart teacher. He can get answers for calculus questions in a second. He has his PhD degree in math and has taught for many years. Very experienced.
Perfect! This tutor is not reliable. We booked two tutoring lessons with her and she was a no show for both lessons without informing us that she was unable to attend.
Perfect! Denise was excellent teacher to my daughter and I would recommend her to any one, and I will definitely use her in the future. Thanks again Denise.
Perfect! Alireza is an amazing tutor who has been able to accommodate my needs for the ACT, SAT Subject Math Level 2 and AP Calculus. Lessons are very good as I am often able to understand the concepts more easily compared to in the classroom. Thanks to...
