I rotate between a few key teach methods, depending on what works best for the student, as I know that each person has a unique learning style. For example, I may use a listen and scribe approach or a learning by doing approach, etc.
My classes revolve around what the student needs. Rather than go through a course in the order of a book. We can start by discovering the areas of weakness in the students understanding. Working on those areas first is the best way to build confidence.
My teaching style is a combination of learner center and teacher center methodology. I start our class with a light quiz to find out your level and then construct your knowledge step by step based on that to make sure you are on the right track. Depending on your objective, I add discipline and fun not to be bored with many subject related activities.
My teaching methods will change from student to student, and subject to subject. I believe in learning visually, and learning through examples. I like to give my students background information, and develop understanding of topics, while going through the the questions on the topic, at the same time. Maths is heavily question based, but in a test or exam situation, any question can come up.
My teaching method is simple yet effective: First of all, I look at your background in the topic and identify the gaps in your knowledge. I then explain the topic to you in order to strengthen your understanding, along with worked examples. Finally, I ask you about the topic in order to check your understanding, and answer any queries which you might have.
I work with students to encourage the development of problem solving skills through discovery based learning styles. I don't believe that giving the answer to a student helps them at all, rather I work with the student on their fundamental understanding of various topics so that the work comes as intuitive later.
For Mathematics, I use problem solving methods with emphasis on practical application of maths in daily life. For teaching and learning of physics and chemistry usually I use experiment and observation methods.
My teaching methods vary depending on the person that I am working with. Usually, I start explaining exercises that were developed in class and then we go deeper into the subject by doing exercises from the study book.
I will use a comprehensive, baseline assessment to determine students' strengths and weakness, what core skills they are missing. I will prepare individualized materials and use practical examples whenever possible to help students to build the basic skills and be able to progress. I will give students can-do tasks and lots of positive reinforcement.
My teaching methodology is based largely on both the Ontario and International Baccalaureate curriculums. I put the needs of my students first, where they direct the topics we spend time on. I work closely with you to determine where you need to spend the most time and then target those areas. Preparing for an exam? I have a lot of experience working with students on exam-preparation.
I give many analogies to teach specific concepts. My students usually remember things better that way. I have read many of those stories in different tests they have had. Which is funny and rewarding, because that lets me know that they listen to what I'm saying.
My students always excel in their exams as I concentrate more on teaching the concept and methodologies rather than just making them to prepare for grades. I strongly believe that not every student is same and each one have their own pace of learning. So, I try to analyze the best way to teach the student and then make them understand the concepts.
I do prepare my own sources of questions, lesson notes, and key point summaries. But I strongly encourage you to tell me your existing questions and concerns about some knowledge that you want me to solve IN ADVANCE, so that I can efficiently solve your problem without using our tutoring time. I do organize after class homework for you. The homework will be 100% customized for you.
Having taught a number of times, I understand that a flexible approach to learning, is optimal. Not all students learn the same way and I am always willing to cater my approach to meet the needs of my students. I am patient and whatever time my student needs, that's the time I will give. I am not going to hand out the answers though.
My teaching method is to make students understand the topics with strong basics and making them enjoy studying by relating with real life incidents and actions.
I would participate in understanding the problem area of a student and would tailor my teaching methods accordingly. These classes are meant for school students up till High School. A class with me would most likely allow you to associate mathematical and physics concepts to our daily life examples hence registering them in the minds forever.
I teach by examples and explanations. The best way to learn a subject or concept in my experience is through repetition, especially in sciences or mathematics. It is also very important to remember the simple basics of each subject to provide a full understanding of concepts, therefore I put a strong emphasis on mastering the basics.
I am a strong believer of EQUITY, thus I approach all my students differently based on their needs and desires. With younger students I tend to focus more on building good study habits, while with older students I focus on test taking strategies.
My teaching Methods are as under: 1. I focus on the basics of Understanding of concepts. 2. Once concepts are clear then moving on with the practice seasons( only concept questions). 3. Kids are given regular classroom and homework practice questions and work on kids mental math techniques( reduce the requirement of a calculator). 4.
I will take up my classes by giving a proper logic to the questions and giving examples related to it. In this way, you will be able to go along with this subject better than before. I will be taking one on one tutoring and in this way, I will be able to concentrate on the student better.
I believe that the key to effective learning is to have fun while you're doing it! So my lessons tend to be very relaxed and interactive. I like to use games or mnemonics to aid learning and memory. My lessons will be tailored to the school curriculum and to the aspects in particular which are found to be difficult with the aim of achieving the best result possible in any upcoming examinations.
I believe in guiding students to help them come to realizations about the subject matter. I encourage independent thought and novel approaches to problems. I use many examples and like to make connections between different subjects. I primarily teach high school courses but can also tutor first-year university courses.
I never recommend cram for a test for students because it is really not a good idea if you want to be more excellent. Memorizing more intelligently, drawing more inferences and pushing yourselves more when leaded are much more important.
I like to approach tutoring with finding out strengths and weaknesses. I like having a set plan of what each session will be. I am always available for support outside of sessions if additional questions or problems arise. I want to make sure that the student has a strong base and understanding of the material. Practice is always important as well.
I believe that every student learns in a different way and finding a students strengths is the key to helping them become successful. By teaching them in a variety of ways one can understand if the student is a hands-on student or if they prefer to be an independent learner etc.. I help the student find their learning style and focus on it so that they can achieve the best possible results.
My teaching methods are graphical and innovative with fun games regarding the subject which helps students to learn very fast.I always try to help students understand the basics of a topic which is most important thing regarding any subject because if a student understands the basics or root of a topic its very easy for them to crack difficult problems regarding the topic.
My methods for teaching will differ from student to student, to start a class I usually would like to get an understanding of what the student knows prior to the session, then start from there and base the class from that.
I approach a subject by understanding and evaluating the current skill level of the student and start my classes accordingly to make the student feel confident about the progress. I decide on the topic for the next day and make sure both I and the student are well prepared with the ground work so that we could concentrate on the content during the class.
My teaching method is application based , followed with a lot of practise. It is not structured, catering to the needs of an individual child. I specially cater to middle school grades 5 to Grade 8. It is my passion to teach children with various needs.
My method comprises of a solid theory followed by many examples. I usually start with simple examples and then build towards much more complicated examples. At the end of the topic, I provide the student with exercises that would cover the full scope of the topic.
