My teaching methodology is highly student-centric, entirely depends upon the individual. As the first lesson is free, it is highly recommended for the students to clarify each and everything at the first lesson itself. A healthy conversation will also enable me to personalize my teaching methodology according to the respective student from there onwards.
I approach the subject in comprehensible and detailed way so that students can understand fully. While giving lesson, I give more importance to points which can be asked in the exam. Therefore, students get more benefits, it becomes more efficient in this way.

My goal is to identify the underlying knowledge that is missing - sometimes it is a missing key step on how to set up the problem, other times it is a missing piece of information from several grades past, or maybe its an algebraic trick that is missing.

In a training setting, when I get questions, I first try to figure out the 'why' of the question. Is the student missing information because the theory was not understood or studied effectively. Is it a matter of skill or experience in the case of solving for instance a mathematical problem. The 'why' answer determines the next steps in the training.

I use the scaffolding method of teaching, as I learned gaining experience for my CRLA Level 2 tutor certification. This method allows me to teach the underlying concepts to students and then has them applying the concepts through problems, such that they develop solutions on their own.
