I focus on diction improvement amd reading speed.
My teaching is based on innovative and unique styles of learning. In believe to run with the time, the way the learning needs to be imparted among students. My classes will be for the students of standard 1 to 12.
I have experience with both University and School institutions. I love teaching and seeing my students achieve! I like to try and relate to my students, everyone is different and has their own strengths and weaknesses.
ACT prep can be a difficult thing. First, we must establish a base score. Then, we can work together on each section to determine what factors can be practiced to perfection! Skills we may work on include: time management during the test, functional grammar, reading interpretation, math problem solving, and scientific essay interpretation.
My teaching method is very much led by the individual and I embraced the personalised learning approach. I fully believe that in order to enable the best state for learning that you need to know the individual well. I plan my lessons based on personal interest and apply a practical approach to learning wherever possible.
My methodology for teaching is, taking diagnostic tests, then building rapport and then checking concepts through questions and further tests.
Writing is not something you are either born "good" or "bad" at. It is a skill. It is a set of tools. If you have a hammer, it might be easy to hang a picture, but just a hammer won't cut a board in half. Writing is the same way, you may have the tools to write a great narrative, but just narration won't create a killer essay.
My teaching method is positive reinforcement on self-learning, I assist via prompting questions and encouraging independent learning by giving the tools and then catering the approach to the student, some students will very independently jump to an answer when given the materials, others need to be shown and others know answers but struggle with their methodology.
I can teach all areas of English: English language and literature up to A-Level. For English langauge I like to focus on the four main core skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing and for literature I take the same approach as I was taught at the Univesity of Cambridge: close anaysis of text and contextual considerations to come towards main ideas elicited in the text.
My teaching method is to first have the students work through their set texts until they understand them and have developed an opinion. This involves a lot of class discussion of the text, as well as contextual research in order to broaden their understanding and engagement of the text.
I consider it of paramount importance to avoid being didactic in my lessons. The key to learning, in my experience, has always been to make it as interactive and independent thinking as possible.
I believe in imparting knowledge that enlightens every tender mind and help them to proffer their skills in their subjects.I basically teach in form of flowcharts and bullet words that hit student's attention and make it easy by explaining them every concept that help them to blossom like a flower that is vibrant and graceful.
My specialties in English include (but are not limited to) creative and essay writing, public speaking, vocabulary and grammar. Once you and I have established what it is you want to achieve through our sessions, the following structure is an example of a typical two-hour session that focuses on a standard high school English essay: 1.
ACADEMIC TUTORING: For academic and school-based tutoring, I consider myself a "homework helper". I wish to help kids grasp challenging concepts that they may be struggling with in school, and to give them the confidence they need to tackle those subjects in the upcoming school year. Subjects that I am well learned in are mathematics, English and creative writing, and history.
In the first place I usually make a diagnosis of the participant; discovering your strengths and weaknesses in terms of the subject you are taking. The teaching methods vary according to the conditions that the participant finds from the cognitive; they are open classes with an emphasis on debate, participation and the evolutionist as a principle.
I love to use creativity to engage all students. I use materials that are relevant and interesting to those I work with while making connections to topics/interests/hobbies of students. I love incorporating great books and texts into my lessons.
I believe children to to be exposed to education that is meaningful to them and not just pen, paper and books. Children need to see how their education is relevant in their everyday lives. I strive to make my lessons fun and engaging, as well as challenging.
For each tutoring session, I collaborate with my students to set goals. Tutoring is all about what my student wants to gain, so I adapt my teaching methodology to suit my student's needs. For a skill, such as writing, I read my student's existing work to get a sense of what they can do. From there, I decide what he or she most needs to work on and tackle that first.
I approach my teaching method by making sure my students are comfortable with me and have them explain to me what it is they would like for me to teach them. From there, I like to communicate with the student and create a lesson plan to follow where I will thoroughly teach them the skills necessary to improve in all aspects of English and help them further their marks in the subject.
My teaching method tends to be discussion based but I adapt to meet my students' needs. Students can expect a variety of small and large group activities (based on class size), creative projects, critical analysis, and materials that are related to lived experiences and the larger society.
I have a BA (Hons) Drama and Literature, PGCE (Secondary English Teacher) - teaching KS3/4/5 (age 11 to 19). Taught in Comprenhensive mixed schools and currently teaching in Private School - English Language and English Literature - Head of English Department Department.
I want my students to excel by practice. Writing essays is a critical method of mastering English. Repeated practice at writing, and going over with constructive criticism brings out the best in every student. I work one on one closely with my students.
I am a firm believer that students each have their own learning style and that the role of a tutor is to develop personalised strategies to ensure they maximise their learning potential.
Students learn best when the lessons are suited to their learning style. I work on the visual, auditory, kinesthetic system - that is do you learn best by watching, listening or doing. By understanding the student's style of learning, the ability for the student to increase their skills and knowledge is possible.
I structure my lessons based on what the student feels they need the most help with. For example, I will read out poetry analysis tools and words and explain them and then get the student to reiterate what I have said step by step until we are both sure they understand it.
My teaching style is largely based making sure the student is happy and confident whilst learning. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging whilst also offering practical skills and 'insider knowledge' from having completed many English-based qualifications myself.
Journalist by training, writer and private teacher in open hours. The methodology consists of a tailored approach for each type of student, with total respect for their learning time and the constant search for solutions to solve the student's difficulties. All with an easy-to-understand language.
My teaching methodology is student-directed. I provide input and support as needed, but structure the lesson around each student's particular point of need. I have extensive experience working with students who need assistance with a subject of difficulty, particularly English.
Tutoring Services: - Private Prep and Tutoring for English, Language Arts, Speech, and Theatre - ACT & SAT Prep - College Essays Grades: 6 and above “Never judging, but striving to always be fair” is the motto in every one of THE ESSAY MASTER's classrooms, along with striving to bring both a sense of humor and passion into every lesson.
My teaching methods are discussion-based. Together, we work through the problem from the simplest point, unraveling complex essay questions or getting started on that giant pile of exam revision. I prefer to get to know my students, and adapt to what they need. I can work with anyone from Year 4 on wards. Simply put, I ask the right questions so they can come to the conclusion themselves.
