I briefly outline my lessons and course outcomes. I lecture on specific topics encouraging the students to learn by research. In addition to set lessons, I bring in other relevant texts to provide the student with the full context of what he/she is reading.
My teaching methods consist of working with each students individual way of learning. I don’t believe everyone learns in the same way and for that reason I do not plan to teach everyone in the same way. I will work with how you learn best in order to achieve the best results possible.
My teaching style is student-centered and tailored to match the individual needs and learning style of the students. I always work hard to fully engage my students in what they are learning. I am flexible with curriculum and can teach a variety of grade levels and content areas.
I will meet you wherever you are, and strive to help you get to where you want to be. At the beginning of a class, I'll ask what you are hoping to get out of the lesson. As we move forward, classes can be very structured, or we can approach the material with more flexibility, and focus on where our discussion takes us. It all depends on your learning style and your goals.
I enjoy the challenge of finding new ways to explain old concepts, and will tailor the session to your individual needs and learning style. I am happy to spend a session reviewing an essay, or preparing for an upcoming exam, as necessary. I want to help you engage with your material in whatever way makes the most sense. I will also pass on study tips I learned during my many years of schooling.
I am flexible to meet your schedule, and provide one on one training or assistance via email for resume and cover letter writing. I am able to work with you to determine how you learn best, and have teaching experience at the university level.
My first priority while teaching/helping students with their studies is organization. Knowing your deadlines, getting a head start on things, and keeping an agenda handy. Once organized, breaking down the steps of a project, essay or presentation, making sure no wanted details are being left out.
I adapt my methodology to whatever suits my student. Students are not the same and should not be treated as such by their tutor. I can teach all levels from high school to post graduate.
In every course that I teach, I stress the importance of effective reading and writing while emphasizing key distinctions between periods, genres, and styles. At the same time, I always encourage students to question accepted beliefs, especially those concerning human nature.
I believe all students learn differently and always do my best to help them learn the material in a way that they will understand.
The lessons you will have with me are directed at what YOU want to learn and what YOU are interested in. This way, learning is more fun and retention is much higher.
I use green screen technology in my on-line classroom to make the platform come alive. I also interface this with videos and gifs to add some fun! This is ideal for visual learners.
My teaching methodology are highly personalized. I bring structure and logic into the classroom to ensure all topics are covered and alter my plans according to specific learning strategies.
I bring a piece of literature that I think is important and well written and age appropriate and help the student to become very familiar with the piece. If things seem to be going well, we will analyze the piece through setting, imagery, meter, and structure.
My teaching methods are based on creating a basis of understanding on the subject before moving on to more complicated or in depth analysis of the subject. I also assist in editing or revision of papers. My focus is on elementary and high school students.
As a person, I'm a kinesthetic learner so I learn by doing things. I understand people who also learn by doing things. I am able to adapt to your learning style and teach accordingly. I am looking for high school or university level students.
