I prefer a flexible form of classes - via webcam. We can start learning from the very beginning, or we can discuss and solve your problems and questions in, music theory together. I do help with lyrics and have some nice tips on how to improve you as a lyricist.

As a teacher, I like to find out the music goals of my student and design a plan to accommodate their wishes. In the case of school age children, I would discuss a suitable for them program with parents.
The schedule of lessons depends on the goal and the level of the student. Usually, the beginning of the class will be focused on technique. This will allow the students to warm up before playing their repertoires. If students have the ability, the will be given an opportunity to perform at a recital, prior to their goal.
If the student has music they wish to work on I prefer to work on that. Otherwise, I will teach them classical, jazz, and pop songs. I will teach them theory and scale and chord patterns alongside the songs to give context for their use.
I would like to start off with how to place hands on the keyboard and then slowly teach the students to read the staff and music. 1. Ask them why they choose to learn this instrument and try to get their interests 2. Demonstrate how to place their hands on the keyboard and explain how and why it is placed this way 2.

My teaching methods incorporate learning music through the lens of a variety of fields. Music is a language and performance should be approached from the perspective of wanting to learn how to express a thought or an idea. Physics and science help us to understand how the sounds we make exist. Psychology and neurology offer infinite insight into how and why it is we perceive music the way we do.
I adapt to different learning styles. In the past I have used an RCM syllabus, musical theatre books, and other resources depending on the student's goals. I try to focus as much as possible on the actual pieces, rather than technique; however, we do learn scales, warm ups, and technical exercises to help improve the quality of the performance.

My teaching methods combine what I learnt from Italian bel canto, Vienna vocal techniques, and New York Broadway singing skills. my methodology is based on how the student picks up the pace. Teaching differs as per need of the student, those who are quick with their pickup advance easily. Music is not about speed but depth. Perfection is more important than quantity in terms of music and this is what i train students the most on.
