I am a happy individual who enjoys teaching english to students and families. I am looking for ESL Students to start January 2019. I will offer my positive view on life and enhance the lives of those I teach thru education, example and mentoring. I like to take Students out into the Community to events and activities to experience hands on practical english.
Typically, we start with a conversation and see where it takes us! If there are any particular topics you'd like to discuss, I can be prepared with a more structured lesson plan, but am happy to follow direction from my learner in terms of subject/content/etc.
I only speak in English during the lesson, especially if I don't know the student's native language. I try to explain confusing words and structures by giving a lot of examples. I encourage students to speak as much as possible during lessons.
I work with each student on an individualized basis to set personal goals and vary teaching approaches to meet the student's needs. I work with each student to develop gestured vocabulary cues, videos, games and exercises aimed toward the achievement of their personal goals.
When tutoring students in English, I start with learning what the students want to learn or what level of proficiency they hope to achieve. Depending on the student's needs, I typically give 1-1.5 hour long lessons that consist of multiple activities and, if asked, I assign homework to be completed before the next lesson.
From my previous experience, I base my lessons solely on concepts that I identify to be troublesome to the learner. After the student has the once-troublesome concept under a firm grasp, I than proceed to show them ways to apply it into their writing/reading comprehension.

My pedagogical style is professional and approachable, and I am able to communicate complex topics in simple, practical ways that allow students to achieve mastery even in challenging content areas. I am sensitive to the unique challenges that each student may face, and do my best to ensure that every student, regardless of background or learning style, exceeds his or her own expectations.
My method and structure are determined by each new student and class. Equally at home assisting remotely or interpersonally with any challenge the student may be facing. I fluidly move in and out of interpersonal and remote venues of engagement and work at an inspired pace without missing a thing.
I love teaching in a way that makes people feel they are taking part in a sort of game, like an easy going conversation, or something entertaining, rather than going through boring senseless repetitions. I strongly believe in ludic techniques.
I base my teachings on everyday scenarios, teaching English that would be of most use in the outer world. I have many years of Post Secondary Education. I also have studied meditation, different types of massage, and other healing modalities. I like to make learning English fun and enjoyable, as it makes it easier to learn and retain what has been taught.
My teaching methods are: inductive, deductive- start with the parts and to the whole and vice-versa; inquiry approach -students learn by discovering or doing mastery approach -quality than quantity or practice makes perfect, drills and exercises will be provided both in oral and written.
I strongly believe in being flexible with each student's way of learning. My methods involve practice, applications, and building upon previous knowledge.
I base my classes on the students level and understanding. And can adapt the level of the lessons to match the skill level of the students i am teaching. With the right teacher anything can be easy if you put your mind to it.
I prefer a lot of conversation (depending on the students interests) from the start + implementing grammar subtly so that the student is not scared of it. Of course, every student is different, so I adjust the methodology according to the student´s needs.
