I provide you or your children an easy step by step process to draw and or paint.
I teach foundation which is vital to drawing and painting.
I am a drawing and painting instructor at the City of Coquitlam. I have studied fine arts in Niagara College and Ontario College of Art, fashion design in Ryerson University and classical animation in Sheridan College. I've taught for over 28 years and have helped students to understand how to draw by using many concepts to help solve drawing issues. It works, but that's up to you to follow my instructions.
If you don't have foundation skills in drawing, don't bother watching Youtube drawing and painting videos, you'll be wasting your time.
My lessons are intended for any student who wants to learn to draw and or paint.
If you're looking at my ad and looking for a drawing tutor, chances are you need to learn the foundation of drawing.
The foundation for drawing is key to help you draw and to help solve any drawing problems.
You need a foundation for drawing:
If you can't draw a cube, you need a foundation for drawing
If you've finished 4 years of art college and cannot draw a hand, you need a foundation for drawing.
If you're currently in an art school and struggling to draw, you need a foundation for drawing
If you're having trouble solving any type of drawing problems, you need a foundation for drawing
My specialty is teaching beginners in the foundation of drawing and watercolor painting.
I've been teaching drawing and watercolor painting to children and adults for over 27 years in Toronto, Burnaby and now in Coquitlam.
I'm an instructor at the City of Coquitlam (drawing and watercolor painting), a private tutor (pencil drawing, principles of animation, fashion illustration, and watercolor painting), and a behavior interventionist working with autistic children.
Just last year I helped my student with her art portfolio to get into Emily Carr art and Design school. I am still teaching and mentoring her while she is studying in her first year.
My method of teaching is this:
1) Student learns/explores that concept
2) Student work/practice on the concept until the student fully comprehends it.
3) Student moves forward to the next concept and repeats the teaching process.
I've studied visual fine arts at Niagara College and the Ontario College of Art, Fashion Design at Ryerson University, and Classical Animation at Sheridan College.
Perfect! Henry has been an immense help through my artistic journey in applying to various art universities, including Emily Carr - which I was later accepted into. His teaching style is relaxed and patient: he is aware that it takes time for a student to fully understand the material at hand. I am being taught the foundations of drawing in a structured and thoughtful way, where each concept builds on the other. This has greatly helped me improve in a short period of time and become a better artist.
She is an ambitious student willing and wanting to learn. She is learning and growing with two lessons already.
