Master Graduate who can provide lessons in Reading, Writing, GIS and Politics

Methodology

Traditionally, my preferred methods of teaching and tutoring is utilizing a more constructivist approach to knowledge building. Here, we would have collective discussions about the subject matter (whether this be a piece of literature, policy decision, or economic approach) where we as a group build off of each others knowledge and better inform one another collectively. Here, we centralize around core concepts and key themes of the course/text so that deeper understandings and unique ideas can arise. With subjects such as writing or GIS more structured and step by step tutorials are preferred, so that there is a strong foundation to build off of.

Background

I am a graduate student and an experienced research as well as teaching assistant in a university setting. I love education (both learning and teaching), it is something I have grown to be very passionate about! My particular interests are in GIS, policy making, reading and writing--but I am always looking to expand on my knowledge base. I have worked/operated in a university environment for almost 10 years, but now I am excited to be more accessible to learners on this new online platform!
